Overview
A Registered Nurse (RN) position is available for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel assignment in Templeton, California, United States. The assignment starts on August 17, 2026, and lasts for 8 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,328 to $2,462, with 0 guaranteed hours on a 3x12-hour schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults in the PCU, including ongoing assessment and monitoring
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and document in the electronic health record
- Interpret clinical data, respond to changes in patient condition, and escalate to appropriate team members as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized care plans
- Support discharge planning and educate patients and families about care plans and follow-up
- Maintain patient safety and quality of care by adhering to policies and procedures
Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- Experience in PCU or related acute care setting preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and participate in a travel assignment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to function in a fast-paced environment
