Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job

Key Highlights

• Weekly pay: $1,591–$1,691 per week
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 pm–7:30 am (2x3 pattern)

• Work setting: hospital-based Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Applicant location restriction: No local candidates within 50 miles of Cumming, GA

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care for adults in the PCU, including monitoring vitals, telemetry, and progress
• Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders; manage IV pumps and infusion safety
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, document findings in the medical record, and update care plans
• Assist with procedures, diagnostic tests, and discharge planning as appropriate
• Uphold patient safety, infection control, accurate medication reconciliation, and fall risk prevention

Requirements

• Active registered nurse license in Georgia
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
• Ability to perform 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm–7:30 am) and meet 36 hours per week
• Alignment with travel assignment requirements and mobility for a 13-week contract
• BLS certification or as required by the assignment; ability to obtain any state-specific credentialing
• Prior experience in progressive care or a similar acute care setting preferred
