Responsibilities

• Provide OB/L&D nursing care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn periods
• Triage obstetrical patients; monitor fetal status with external/internal fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Support labor, delivery, and immediate vaginal recovery; assist/scrub/circulate for cesarean deliveries; C-section PACU recovery
• Administer postpartum medications and manage postpartum hemorrhage; magnesium sulfate and oxytocin drips per protocol
• Perform newborn assessment and resuscitation per NRP guidelines; provide neonatal care and resuscitation
• Chart in EPIC; collaborate with PT, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services; participate in rapid response as needed

Requirements

• Active NY RN license in hand (to submit)
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
• Minimum 1 year acute hospital RN experience with hands-on LDRP and Newborn Nursery (antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Able to work nights with on-call and rotating weekends; floating within skillset
• Candidates within 75 miles of the assignment location are not accepted; RTO not to exceed 10 days
