About the Role

Travel temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse in the NICU, starting 09/21/2026 for 17 weeks. The role is based in Burlington, VT, United States, and offers a weekly pay range of $2,391–$2,471. The shift is 12-hour rotating days and nights (3x12), primarily nights with days as needed. This position is in a hospital-level NICU setting with float to related newborn units.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct neonatal nursing care in a Level III NICU, including newborns, mothers, and related units as assigned
  • Float to newborn NICU, mother/baby, nursery, attending deliveries, pediatrics/PICU with neonates as needed
  • Participate in newborn rounds and support feeder/grower neonates
  • Assist in deliveries and provide neonatal stabilization and ongoing monitoring
  • Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EPIC) per unit policy and within the past two years’ standards
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support family-centered care and safe patient transitions

Requirements

  • Active RN license (state of practice) and ability to work in a hospital NICU setting
  • American Heart Association BLS and NRP certifications
  • NICU Level III experience required; minimum of 2 years NICU experience
  • Teaching facility experience required
  • EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
  • Travel experience preferred; if lacking travel, experience at a large NICU teaching facility acceptable
  • STABLE and RNC-NIC certifications preferred
  • Ability to float across units (newborn NICU, mother/baby, nursery, deliveries, pediatrics/PICU neonates)
  • Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts and to be assigned across the schedule
  • Reliable transportation required (public transit not available in the area)

Pay

Weekly pay range: $2,391–$2,471. Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and confirmed hours will be discussed during the hiring process.
