Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job

Overview

This is a travel RN position in a long-term care setting. The assignment runs for 13 weeks starting August 3, 2026, with night shifts and a guaranteed 36 hours per week. The role is in Med Surg Tele within a nursing home environment, designed to support patient care across a spectrum of medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for Med Surg Tele patients within a long-term care facility, aligning with physician orders and established care plans
• Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, recognize changes, and intervene per protocol to ensure patient safety
• Administer medications and treatments, including IV therapies as approved, and document administration accurately
• Collaborate with the care team, including charge nurses, physicians, and case managers, to coordinate care and plan smooth patient transitions
• Record patient information in the electronic health record, ensure accuracy, and maintain compliance with facility policies
• Provide education to patients and families as appropriate and participate in discharge planning or care coordination as needed
• Ability to float to other units if required

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington or active Multi-State license
• American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or educational equivalent
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
• Ability to float to other units as needed
