Overview

Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele in a hospital setting located in Berlin, Vermont. This travel assignment starts 07/23/2026 for 4 weeks, with weekly pay ranging from $2,063 to $2,116. Shift is 12-hour nights on a 3x12 schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients on a telemetry-enabled unit, including assessment, planning, and ongoing documentation
  • Apply, interpret, and respond to telemetry rhythms; monitor cardiac status and coordinate with the care team
  • Perform bedside procedures as ordered (peripheral IV placement, NG tubes as needed, and medication administration) and support device management (PCA/medication pumps) per protocol
  • Collaborate with LVNs/LPNs and CNAs to ensure safe, efficient patient flow; participate in interdisciplinary rounds and family education
  • Document in the electronic health record (Epic) and follow unit protocols for safety, discharge planning, and placement needs; contribute to a cooperative, patient-centered care environment

Requirements

  • Active registered nurse license in the appropriate state or eligibility to practice in Vermont
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
  • Telemetry certification preferred; EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
  • Minimum 5 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience, or 3 years of telemetry experience (as specified)
  • Prior travel experience required; experience in 300+ bed facilities or prior experience at related acute care facilities preferred
  • Able to lift, move, and position patients and to work in a fast-paced, team-based setting

This travel assignment is for a Med-Surg Tele unit in an acute hospital setting. The unit provides telemetry-supported care for adult medical-surgical patients, including post-operative and complex medical diagnoses.
