Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults and geriatrics on a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit, including telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Administer medications and manage non-titrating IV drips, IV insulin and heparin protocols per facility guidelines
- Perform phlebotomy and IV placement; administer blood products; manage peripheral IV lines
- Support respiratory needs, including HFNC, CPAP/BiPAP, and basic tracheostomy management
- Manage ortho-trauma and total joint post-operative care, wound care (including VAC) and related procedures
- Document care in Epic and participate in interdisciplinary rounds; respond to Rapid Response as needed; will float within scope to related units
Requirements
- Active NY RN license in-hand to submit
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year RN experience (Med-Surg/Telemetry preferred)
- Epic experience required for submission
- Telemetry/dysrhythmia interpretation and management; phlebotomy and IV placement competency
- Ability to float within scope to related units
- Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
