Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to adult patients using the nursing process, shifting from assessment to planning and evaluation
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses, reporting adverse events promptly
  • Monitor patient status, including vital signs and clinical changes; respond to emergencies and escalate as needed
  • Collaborate with physicians and the multi-disciplinary team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
  • Document care accurately in the electronic health record and ensure continuity of care across shifts
  • Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and post-discharge care; promote safe, quality outcomes

Requirements

  • Active RN license in California
  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification required at time of hire
  • At least two years of recent acute care nursing experience
  • EPIC electronic health record experience required
  • Dysrhythmia competency demonstrated during orientation (for all applicable units)
  • BSN preferred

  • Weekly pay range: $1,875 to $1,933 per week
  • Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week
  • Shift: 3x12-hour nights
  • Contract duration: 8 weeks
  • Start date: 08/10/2026
  • Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital (Med Surg)
