Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients using the nursing process, shifting from assessment to planning and evaluation
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses, reporting adverse events promptly
- Monitor patient status, including vital signs and clinical changes; respond to emergencies and escalate as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and the multi-disciplinary team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record and ensure continuity of care across shifts
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and post-discharge care; promote safe, quality outcomes
Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification required at time of hire
- At least two years of recent acute care nursing experience
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
- Dysrhythmia competency demonstrated during orientation (for all applicable units)
- BSN preferred

Pay and Schedule
- Weekly pay range: $1,875 to $1,933 per week
- Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 3x12-hour nights
- Contract duration: 8 weeks
- Start date: 08/10/2026
