Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care for adult and older adult medical-surgical patients on a 32-bed unit
  • Administer and monitor therapies, including heparin drips and other acute medications as ordered
  • Assess patient status, respond to changes, and participate in care planning with the interdisciplinary team
  • Document care and clinical observations accurately in the unit's electronic medical record
  • Support safe patient handling, infection control, and fall/skin risk prevention; educate patients and families as appropriate
  • Utilize specialty equipment such as gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment; coordinate with rehabilitation services as needed

Requirements

  • Current RN license to practice in Georgia (or eligibility to obtain)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Documented med/surg and telemetry experience; adult and older adult populations
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and routine nursing documentation
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and maintain flexibility for a 2x3 night schedule
  • RN degree from an accredited program; NICHE training a plus
