Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group using established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct activities of various nursing staff levels; coordinate care with other disciplines
- Collect relevant data, analyze assessments, and develop a plan to achieve outcomes; implement the plan and monitor progress
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and escalate concerns as needed
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, healing care and participate in discharge planning
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California) or as required by the assignment
- CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor (required)
- ACLS certification (required)
- PALS certification (required)
- BSN preferred; acute care/med-surg experience preferred
- At least two years of recent experience in the field
- Cerner experience is a plus
