Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

Overview

Registered Nurse, Med Surg – Goodland, KS. Travel assignment starting 07/27/2026 for 13 weeks, nights on a 3x12 schedule. Weekly pay ranges from $1,836 to $1,962 with 0.0 guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for Med Surg and, as needed, ER patients, including monitoring, assessment, and documentation
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor for adverse effects and respond to changes in patient condition
• Triage and manage a range of Med Surg and emergency presentations; assist with codes and emergent events per established protocols
• Collaborate with LPNs, CNAs, and ancillary staff to ensure safe care delivery, patient flow, and effective handoffs
• Document care in the electronic medical record (Athena) and participate in discharge planning and patient education
• Adhere to infection control, privacy, and safety policies; maintain professional standards in a small-team CAH setting

Requirements

• Active RN license in Kansas or multi-state licensure accepted
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (AHA) required
• Experience: Med Surg and ER exposure; travel experience preferred but first-time travelers considered; under 3 years’ experience may be reviewed
• Education: RN degree; current licensure to practice
• Ability to work in a CAH environment and float between Med Surg and ER as needed
• Proficiency with Athena EMR or willingness to learn; strong communication and teamwork skills
