Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job

Key Highlights

• Weekly pay: $2,080–$2,160 per week
• No guaranteed hours

• Unit scope: Labor & Delivery with nursery responsibilities
• Residency restriction: candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius; local addresses within 50 miles not accepted
• Orientation prerequisites: HealthStream pre-orientation modules must be completed prior to start

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to laboring individuals; monitor fetal status and maternal vitals; administer medications per protocol
• Deliver newborn care in nursery duties and support postpartum care for mothers
• Collaborate with obstetric and nursing teams; respond to obstetric emergencies; participate in patient safety, infection control, and quality initiatives
• Document accurately in the electronic charting system; perform timely shift handoffs and communicate changes to the care team
• Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, and newborn care; assist with discharge planning and referrals as appropriate

Requirements

• Current NY RN license in hand
• 3+ years of clinical experience in Labor & Delivery with nursery responsibilities; prior travel experience required
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring (within past 2 years), BLS, and NRP
• Nursys verification and current certifications on file
• Epic charting experience; ability to float within the hospital as needed
