Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or group of patients according to established standards and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications within scope, perform assessments, and document findings
- Communicate with patients and families, provide education, and contribute to care planning and continuity of care
