A Registered Nurse - ER is needed for a home healthcare travel assignment based in Princeton, New Jersey. The start date is August 18, 2026, for a 13-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The shift is nights, 3x12 (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), with every-other-weekend coverage. Weekly pay range is $1,862–$1,980.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional ER nursing care in a home-based care setting, addressing a range of ages and conditions.
  • Perform initial assessments, monitor status, administer medications, and implement care plans per physician orders.
  • Triage and respond to patient needs, including acute events, ensuring safety and rapid escalation when required.
  • Document on the electronic health record, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and safety practices.
  • Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and hospice/palliative considerations as appropriate for a home care environment.
  • Cover coordination with scheduling, orientation, and local contract program requirements to ensure smooth patient care continuity.

Requirements

  • Active nursing license in NJ or a compact state at submission.
  • BSN required; ER experience preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; current Flu vaccine.
  • Experience with diverse populations, including pediatrics.
  • Ability to work the night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and to cover every-other-weekend as required.
  • Availability for one winter and one summer holiday; limited right to time off (RTO).
