Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the emergency department for a patient population ranging from newborns to geriatrics, with no obstetrics cases in this assignment
- Perform triage, initial assessment, continuous monitoring, IV access, medication administration, wound care, and priority interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans; respond to code emergencies as needed
- Document patient status, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record (Cerner experience preferred)
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and compliance with hospital policies during fast-paced shifts
Requirements
- Active RN license in New Hampshire or an approved multi-state Compact (NH or Compact) at time of submission
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required at submission
- Licensure verification through Nursys; provide all active RN licenses for verification
- RTO (requested time off) must be included with submission
- Experience: ER or acute care nursing preferred; willingness to learn and be trained in pediatric care if needed
- EMR experience is preferred (Cerner experience is a plus; not required)
