Travel Registered Nurse Case Management Job
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of patient needs, identify resources required to transition to the next setting, and secure those resources
- Coordinate concurrent utilization management activities, serving as the main link between the patient, care team, organization, and payors during the hospital stay
- Lead, educate, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team during daily rounds, care conferences, and care planning
- Communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and via electronic systems and applications used in patient care
- Partner with community organizations to secure durable medical equipment, health insurance authorizations, and transportation
- Participate in length of stay management for the inpatient population
- Apply knowledge of hospital reimbursement methods and quality measures relevant to care management
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Associate or Bachelor degree-prepared 3–5 years of clinical experience in medical/surgical nursing, home care, hospital case management, and/or prior utilization review experience
- Utilization review and discharge planning experience
- Certification by a nationally recognized case management or utilization review organization preferred; CCM or ACM preferred
- BLS certification active

About the Role
This travel temporary assignment starts 07/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,218 to $2,260 with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shifts are either 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or four 10-hour shifts from 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; there is no on-call, but weekend and holiday rotation is required. Setting: hospital.
