Responsibilities

Operate MRI equipment (GE scanner) safely and efficiently, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety
Patient preparation, explanation, and comfort assistance during scans
Insert IVs when necessary for contrast administration and monitor patient response
Congratulate with physicians for timely diagnostic imaging and result delivery
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe scanning facility; adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols
Document procedures accurately while maintaining patient confidentiality and proper recordkeeping

Requirements

• Education: Associate degree in Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Radiology
• Certification: ARRT certification required
• Experience: Two years MRI experience required
• Licenses: New York State Radiologic Technologist license; must be willing to obtain this license after starting
• Credentials: BLS (American Heart Association) required

Skills

• Must have GE MRI scanner experience to be considered
• Injection certification required

• Strong patient-care skills
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Able to work in a high-volume hospital setting
