Travel Radiology Tech MRI Tech Job
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures using established protocols and image-building parameters
- Screen patients for contraindications and follow safety requirements per ACR and facility protocols
- Explain MRI procedures to patients, addressing questions with tact and professionalism
- Educate patients on procedures and obtain informed cooperation
- Ensure patient and staff safety by removing hazardous metal objects and enforcing safety around the magnet
- Monitor patients visually and verbally throughout exams and maintain a safe environment
- Operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment and related devices; maintain a clean, organized work area
- Assist with equipment status reporting and inventory as needed
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and staff to support accurate patient care
Requirements
- Education: Associate Degree or Certificate from a two-year college, university, or certificate-based program
- Licenses/Certifications: ARRT registered, Basic Life Support: BCLS certification obtained within 4 months of hire and maintained thereafter
- Vaccination: Influenza vaccination as required by the State of Maine unless a medical exemption is approved by Employee Health
- Experience: MRI technologist experience appropriate to the role (as detailed in job notes)
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and comply with departmental policies

This MRI Technologist – Radiology travel assignment in York, Maine offers a weekly pay range of $1,953–$2,023 per week with guaranteed hours of 36. The shift is 3x12-hour days (6:30 am–7:00 pm), Sundays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, with potential variations. The assignment starts on 08/10/2026 and lasts for 13 weeks.
