Responsibilities
Perform high-quality MRI examinations across a range of protocols, following orders and departmental guidelines
Screens patients for MRI safety, obtains informed consent when required, and positions patients with appropriate coils to optimize image quality
Verifies orders, documents procedures, and ensures accurate labeling and transfer of images to the radiology team
Maintains patient comfort and safety during scanning, addresses adverse reactions or claustrophobia concerns, and monitors patients during scanning
Requirements
- ARRT Certification in MRI required
- BLS through AHA required
- Minimum 2 years of independent MRI experience in an acute care facility
- Ability to work rotating 8-hour Day/Eve shifts in a hospital radiology environment
- Active MRI credential and ability to work in a travel assignment in Needham, MA
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety practices, patient positioning, and protocol optimization
