About the role
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Chicago, Illinois. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, supervising nursing staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans. This role emphasizes patient safety, clinical competence, and effective communication within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform admission assessments within 8 hours
- Develop and communicate care plans
- Participate in patient rehabilitation
- Initiate discharge planning and provide patient education
- Supervise ancillary staff and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Contribute to a positive work environment through team collaboration
- May include charge responsibilities following successful orientation
Requirements
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift
- Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift (CIRH only)
- Minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- 0.0 years minimum experience required
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts
- Minimum 36 hours per week
