Travel Progressive Care Unit RN - $1,900 per week

About the role

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse located in the hospital setting. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients with complex health needs in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and promoting recovery through evidence-based practices.

Schedule

Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with complex health needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure patient safety and promote recovery through evidence-based practices.
• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care.
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plan.
• Utilize healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures in delivery of care.
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and update patient care plans.
• Recognize data from complex situations to determine care priorities, including anticipating discharge needs and assessing cultural and ethnic considerations.
• Participate in evaluation of patient care and quality improvement activities.
• Assist in developing professional growth goals and actively participate in unit goals and performance improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills and promote a safe, secure hospital environment.
• Bring ideas and questions to staff teams for continuous improvement and evidence-based practice enhancement.

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC).
• At least 2 years of nursing experience, including 2+ years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.
