Travel Physical Therapy Assistant LTAC Job

Responsibilities

• Provide PT assistant services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, implementing prescribed treatment plans
• Administer therapeutic exercises and gait training to LTAC patients to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence
• Absorb and document patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising PT and care team; maintain accurate records
• Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment spaces; ensure safety and infection control
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and case managers to support patient goals and smooth transitions

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant in LTAC or SNF settings preferred
• Ability to work under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and follow treatment plans
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with patients and the care team
• Comfortable with a 5x8 schedule and 35 guaranteed hours per week
• Able to complete assignment credentialing and onboarding requirements

Pay

Weekly pay: $1,247–$1,324 per week
Guaranteed hours: 35 per week
Contract duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x8 days (08:00–16:30)
Start date: August 3, 2026
