Overview

This is a 13-week travel assignment in a skilled nursing setting. Weekly pay range $1,318–$1,365 per week with guaranteed hours of 35 per week. Shift is 5x8 days, typically 08:00–16:30. The assignment supports a long-term acute care rehabilitation program serving medically complex patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the supervising physical therapist in evaluating and treating patients in the LTAC/skilled nursing rehab program
  • Implement treatment plans including therapeutic exercises, gait training, ROM, and modality delivery per the plan of care
  • Maintain a safe and organized therapy space, manage equipment, and adhere to infection control and privacy guidelines
  • Monitor patient responses, vital signs as appropriate, and safety during therapy sessions; report changes to the supervising PT
  • Document treatment provided and patient progress clearly and timely; maintain accurate records per policy
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and functional goals; support discharge planning and care coordination with the rehab team

Requirements

  • Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Ability to work in a LTAC/skilled nursing rehabilitation setting
  • Availability for a 5x8 day schedule with guaranteed 35 hours per week
  • Eligibility to work in the United States for a travel assignment
  • Agency requirement: Agencies must have NM Caregivers account
