Travel Physical Therapy Assistant LTAC Job
Join a long-term care setting delivering patient-focused physical therapy services under PT supervision. This is a temporary travel assignment with a predictable weekly schedule and dedicated support.
Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed physical therapy interventions under PT supervision, including therapeutic exercise, gait training, and functional activities
- Assist with assessments and data collection under PT direction; monitor patient response and report changes to the PT and care team
- Implement treatment plans, apply modalities and assistive devices as trained, and ensure patient safety and comfort
- Document interventions and patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety precautions, and activity modifications
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to goal setting, discharge planning, and continuity of care
Requirements
- Ability to work in a LTAC/long-term care setting
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and related systems
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment
- Availability to meet guaranteed hours (36 per week) on an ongoing basis
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
Pay
$1,648–$1,742 per week
Schedule
- 13-week travel assignment
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Shift: 5x8 days (08:00–16:30)
- Start date: 08/31/2026
