Skilled Nursing Facility with long-term acute care needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of the licensed PT, following the established plan of care for LTAC patients
- Assist with patient evaluations, document progress notes, and contribute to the ongoing adjustment of treatment plans
- Facilitate therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, mobility training, and functions of daily living as appropriate
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record and adhere to facility policies and regulatory requirements
- Monitor patient response to treatment, report changes to the supervising PT, and ensure patient safety and comfort during sessions
- Collaborate with the therapy team to support discharge planning, goal attainment, and communication with nursing staff and families
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Massachusetts (or eligibility to practice as a MA PTA)
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
- Ability to work in a LTAC/Skilled Nursing setting and participate in a travel assignment
- CPR certification (as a standard requirement for patient-facing roles) or eligible for recertification
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills; capacity to adhere to treatment plans and safety protocols
