Responsibilities

  • Implement and progress prescribed LTAC physical therapy plans of care under supervision of a licensed physical therapist
  • Lead and assist patient sessions focused on gait training, therapeutic exercises, balance, and activities of daily living
  • Monitor patient responses during treatment, document progress, and communicate changes to the supervising PT
  • Set up, apply, and monitor modalities and assistive devices per facility protocols; ensure equipment safety
  • Collaborate with rehabilitation and nursing teams to coordinate care and ensure patient safety and mobility goals
  • Provide patient and caregiver education on home exercise programs and safety techniques

Requirements

  • Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Maine or eligible per state licensure requirements
  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting
  • Ability to work in a LTAC / skilled nursing setting
  • Prior LTAC or SNF experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

About the Role

This is a travel assignment in Kennebunk, Maine.

Start date: 12/21/2026

Contract duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 5x8 days (08:00–16:30)

Setting: LTAC within a Skilled Nursing Facility

Pay

Weekly pay range: $1,562–$1,616 per week

Shift: 5x8 days (08:00–16:30)
