Travel Physical Therapy Assistant LTAC Job
Responsibilities
- Implement and progress prescribed LTAC physical therapy plans of care under supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Lead and assist patient sessions focused on gait training, therapeutic exercises, balance, and activities of daily living
- Monitor patient responses during treatment, document progress, and communicate changes to the supervising PT
- Set up, apply, and monitor modalities and assistive devices per facility protocols; ensure equipment safety
- Collaborate with rehabilitation and nursing teams to coordinate care and ensure patient safety and mobility goals
- Provide patient and caregiver education on home exercise programs and safety techniques
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Maine or eligible per state licensure requirements
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting
- Ability to work in a LTAC / skilled nursing setting
- Prior LTAC or SNF experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Contract duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x8 days (08:00–16:30)

Weekly pay range: $1,562–$1,616 per week
