Travel Physical Therapy Assistant LTAC Job

Responsibilities

• Provide Physical Therapy Assistant services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, contributing to plan-of-care implementation for residents in LTAC/SNF settings
• Conduct therapeutic exercises, ROM work, gait training, balance activities, and gait-related assistive device training as prescribed
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility tasks, including transfers, positioning, and safety during therapy sessions
• Monitor patient response to interventions, document progress, and communicate findings to the supervising therapist and care team
• Adhere to infection control, privacy (HIPAA), and safety protocols; participate in ongoing care planning and interdisciplinary rounds as required

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license for Maine or eligibility per state regulations
• Experience in LTAC or skilled nursing facility environments preferred
• Ability to work the listed 8-hour day shift (08:00–16:30) and participate in a 13-week travel assignment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; comfort collaborating with therapists, nursing staff, and other rehabilitation professionals
• Able to perform duties within the scope of practice for a PTA in the setting
