Travel Physical Therapy Assistant assignment in Nashua, New Hampshire, starting 08/31/2026 for 13 weeks.

About the role

This temporary travel position supports a long-term acute care (LTAC) focused nursing home environment. The assignment is facilitated by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of a licensed PT to implement treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
  • Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, range-of-motion work, and therapeutic activities tailored to LTAC/long-term care needs.
  • Monitor patient responses, document sessions, track progress, and communicate changes to the supervising PT and care team.
  • Support patient and family education on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and activity modification.
  • Maintain a safe treatment area, manage equipment, and adhere to infection control, privacy, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to ensure coordinated care and timely discharge planning when appropriate.

Requirements

  • Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in New Hampshire or eligible for licensure by endorsement/reciprocity.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Prior experience in long-term care or LTAC settings preferred.
  • Ability to work in a LTC environment and participate in a 5x8 day shift with guaranteed hours.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills; proficient with electronic health record systems.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States; ability to travel to the assignment location.

Pay

Weekly pay range: $340–$354 per week.

Schedule

  • Contract duration: 13 weeks.
  • Guaranteed hours: 35 hours per week.
  • Shift: 5x8 days, 08:00 to 16:30.
