Travel Physical Therapy Assistant assignment in Siler City, North Carolina, specializing in LTAC (long-term acute care). 13-week contract beginning 08/26/2026.
About the Role
Work in a long-term care rehabilitation setting designed for post-acute recovery. This daytime position offers guaranteed hours and a competitive weekly pay range.
Pay & Schedule
- Weekly pay: $1,377–$1,444
- Guaranteed hours: 35 per week
- Shift: 5×8 days (08:00–16:30)
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor a prescribed physical therapy plan of care under the supervision of a licensed PT
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, range of motion, and strengthening programs
- Support functional activities of daily living and mobility, including transfers and use of assistive devices
- Document patient progress, goals, and any changes in the electronic medical record; communicate with the supervising PT and interdisciplinary team
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and equipment safety during therapy sessions
Requirements
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain licensure in NC
- BLS certification (or as required by facility policy)
- Ability to work in an LTAC/long-term care rehabilitation setting
- Travel assignment eligibility and willingness to commit to a 13-week temporary placement
- One year of PTA experience in rehabilitation settings preferred
