About the Role

Work in a long-term care rehabilitation setting designed for post-acute recovery. This daytime position offers guaranteed hours and a competitive weekly pay range.

Pay & Schedule

• Weekly pay: $1,377–$1,444
• Guaranteed hours: 35 per week
• Shift: 5×8 days (08:00–16:30)
• Contract duration: 13 weeks

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor a prescribed physical therapy plan of care under the supervision of a licensed PT
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, range of motion, and strengthening programs
• Support functional activities of daily living and mobility, including transfers and use of assistive devices
• Document patient progress, goals, and any changes in the electronic medical record; communicate with the supervising PT and interdisciplinary team
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and equipment safety during therapy sessions

Requirements

• Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain licensure in NC
• BLS certification (or as required by facility policy)
• Ability to work in an LTAC/long-term care rehabilitation setting
• Travel assignment eligibility and willingness to commit to a 13-week temporary placement
• One year of PTA experience in rehabilitation settings preferred
