Travel Physical Therapist - $1,820 per week

About the Role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for an assignment in St. Petersburg, Florida. This is an immediate travel opening with the following details:

• Start Date: 10/30/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts
• Employment Type: Travel

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience, though 6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates with an appropriate background.

Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting. Key tasks include:

• Overseeing supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians)
• Billing within the respective setting, following facility guidelines
• Understanding and complying with the respective PT board's rules and regulations
• Interfacing with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care
• Understanding adaptive equipment
• Evaluating and creating a plan of care, modifying it as indicated based on the patient's condition
• Using Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Providing timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of experience (new graduates are encouraged to apply)
• BLS certification
• State-specific licensing
• Ability to stand, walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
