About the role
PRIDE Health is seeking a travel nurse RN DOU - Direct Observation Unit for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Assist with patient transfers and assistive devices as needed.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and report to the supervising RN.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Illinois.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Experience in a Direct Observation Unit (DOU) setting preferred.
Qualifications
- At least one year of recent clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Knowledge of infection control practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
