About the role
Stability Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN DOU - Direct Observation Unit for a 13-week contract position in Urbana, Illinois.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct observation unit care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Assess patient needs and implement appropriate care plans.
- Monitor vital signs and administer medications as ordered.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure patient care coordination.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Illinois.
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience in Direct Observation Unit preferred.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Skills
- Proficient in electronic health record systems.
- Knowledge of Direct Observation Unit protocols.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
