Travel Nurse RN - PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - $2,719 per week

About the role

PACU - Post Anesthesia Care nurses care for patients recovering from anesthesia after surgery. They monitor vital signs, assess levels of consciousness, and observe for side effects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient safety and comfort
• Monitor vital signs and administer medications as necessary
• Assess and document patient progress
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers
• Prepare patients for discharge

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Current New York State RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in PACU preferred

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Skills

• Knowledge of anesthesia and post-operative care
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR)
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Pay

The pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
