About the role
Travel nursing assignment at Wayne Memorial Hospital, 601 Park Street, Honesdale, PA 18431. 1 opening in the PACU/SDS unit. Start date: August 31 (firm). Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, days. No block scheduling. Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality post-anesthesia care in the PACU/SDS setting
- Perform clinical assessments and apply critical-thinking skills
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Deliver patient education and collaborate on care plans
- Document in electronic medical records (EMR), preferably Meditech
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania (PA) Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent PACU experience
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- CAPA (Certified Advanced Perianesthesia Nurse) certification is a huge plus
