About the role
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care nurses care for patients recovering from anesthesia after surgery. They monitor vital signs, assess levels of consciousness, and observe for side effects.
Responsibilities
- Maintain patient safety and comfort
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Absorb and assess patient’s level of consciousness
- Observe for and report any side effects from anesthesia
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current RN license in good standing
- Experience in PACU preferred
Qualifications
- Passing score on NCLEX-RN
- Current BLS certification
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of anesthesia and recovery processes

Pay
Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
