About the role
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position in Easton, Maryland. This role involves providing direct patient care on a general medical-surgical floor, with a focus on adult and geriatric patient populations. The position requires flexibility in floating within the unit and supporting various operational needs of the healthcare facility.
Schedule
- Night shifts, 3×12 hours (1900–0730)
- Minimum 36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Medication administration
- Wound care
- Managing surgical drains
- Providing post-operative care for orthopedic patients
- Floating within the specialty, to other units, and sister facilities as required
- Working within interdisciplinary teams
Requirements
- Valid RN license for Maryland or an active compact license
- BLS certification (required)
- ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications (preferred)
- Prior experience with patient management in a medical-surgical setting
- Experience with Epic or similar charting systems
- Familiarity with adult and geriatric patient care
