About the role
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Floor care in Baltimore, Maryland. This position involves providing nursing care to adult inpatients on a unit that manages post-surgical recovery, complex medical conditions, and neurological disorders. The role includes working in a non-telemetry inpatient acute setting with a focus on rehabilitation care.
Schedule
- Days shift, 12-hour shifts
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- No call or holiday responsibilities scheduled; holidays as needed
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 during the day shift and 1:5-6 during nights
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to adult inpatients on a Medical Surgical Floor
- Float as needed to area of like skill set
- Manage post-surgical recovery, complex medical conditions, and neurological disorders in a rehabilitation unit
Requirements
- Active RN license
- 2 years of current nursing experience
- BLS certification
- Must be located in Maryland
- Verification of prior employment at any Johns Hopkins health facilities required if applicable (must have been gone for at least one full year before application)
Preferred Qualifications
- EPIC electronic health record experience
- 1-2 travel assignments completed
- Dysrhythmia management skills
