Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $3,280 per week

About the role

This position involves providing specialized care in the Labor and Delivery Department, supporting patients through preterm labor and delivery processes. The role requires interaction with high-risk obstetric cases, performing specialized procedures, and attending high-risk and routine deliveries in a busy obstetric unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Labor and Delivery Department
• Support patients through preterm labor and delivery processes
• Attend high-risk and routine deliveries
• Perform specialized procedures in a busy obstetric unit
• Handle blood/blood products, cardioversion/defibrillation, epidural and PCA pump management, and wound care
• Attend all deliveries, high-risk deliveries, and GYN surgeries
• Work with special equipment including warming blankets, infusion pumps, and central lines
• Provide care for adolescents, infants, and adults
• May float to post-partum and labor and delivery units at nearby facilities
• Work a minimum of 3 out of 5 holidays during the contract

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
• Current Epic electronic charting system experience required
• Valid compact state license must be in hand at submission
• References covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years, including experience with charge or lead responsibilities
• Willingness to work a minimum of 3 out of 5 holidays during the contract

Certifications

• BLS
• FHM
• NRP
• AWHONN Intermediate
• ACLS (preferred)

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, days
• Minimum of 48 hours per week
• Start date: 09/14/2026
• Duration: 26 weeks
