Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care - $2,520 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN Intermediate Care position in Marshfield, Wisconsin, 13‑week assignment, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts. The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center with a 29‑bed cardiac medical/surgical unit using Cerner charting.

Responsibilities

• Work 12‑hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required
• Maintain nurse‑to‑patient ratios of 1:4 on days through 2300 and 1:5‑6 on nights after 2300
• Utilize nurse aides (ratios 1:10 days, 1:10‑12 evenings, 1:15 after 2300)
• Follow block scheduling (no self‑scheduling); Friday/Saturday/Sunday scheduling option available
• Float to other units as needed based on census
• Titrate drips including Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Bumex, and Dobutamine (no vasopressors)
• Manage TR band compression devices for post‑cath lab patients
• Provide incentive spirometry and oversee respiratory therapy equipment (nebulizers, inhalers, CPAP, BiPAP, Vapotherm)
• Monitor and interpret central telemetry strips
• Chart patient care using Cerner EHR
• Participate in orientation: 1 shift HR onboarding + 1 shift unit orientation

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a busy hospital environment
• Experience with post‑procedural cath lab patients (including TR band management)
• Experience with post‑cardiac surgical patients

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• ACLS certification (AHA)
• BLS certification (AHA)
