Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care - $2,520 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN Intermediate Care assignment in Madison, Wisconsin at a Magnet‑designated Academic Level I Trauma Center. 13‑week contract starting 11/16/2026, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work evening/night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), primarily 12‑hour shifts with a 4×12 option.
• Every other weekend and some holidays required; must be available to work Dec 24 and Dec 25; limited time off Dec 22–Jan 5.
• Support the Thoracic Surgery unit as needed.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 for intermediate care and 1:4 for general care.
• Float to other units as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.
• Prior travel nursing experience.
• Not accepting candidates residing within 50 mi of the facility.
• Experience in telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown settings.
• Strong proficiency with ventilator and transplant patient care.
• Background in an Academic Level I or II trauma center or comparable hospital.
• Ability to pass a telemetry test before start date.
• Proficiency with Epic charting system.
