Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care - $2,510 per week

The IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit) registered nurse is responsible for providing advanced patient care in a specialized unit focused on intermediate levels of monitoring and treatment. This role involves working during night shifts, with a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays, ensuring continuous patient support in a dynamic healthcare environment.

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
• Minimum of 1 year telepatient experience required
• Proficiency with insulin drips, cardiac drips, starting IVs, and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Recent Epic electronic medical records (EMR) experience within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable
• Valid New York state nursing license or proof of application with applied date, noting licensing takes 6-8 weeks
• Float rotation may be required

• Mandatory work at least every other weekend and/or adapted schedules to meet unit and patient care needs
• Must work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, and New Years Day/Eve
• No block schedules are permitted; bi-weekly orientations are scheduled, next available date pending
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
• Complete work history, including bed count, EMR, facility type, etc., is required for submission
• Reliable transportation is strongly recommended, with vehicles equipped for all-season or snow tires during November through April

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
