Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care - $2,220 per week

About the role

Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) registered nurse position in a healthcare facility setting. This role involves providing specialized patient care in a unit that manages patients with varying acuity levels, including neuro, cardiac, and medical-surgical cases. The position requires orientation sessions occurring every other Monday and offers the possibility of up to 20-week assignments during peak staffing periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized patient care in an Intermediate Care Unit managing neuro, CVA, cardiac, tele, and medical-surgical patients
• Work in a teaching hospital environment with interaction with students and new hires
• Participate in a culture of educational growth and team support

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• 13-week duration with start date of 10/05/2026
• Must be prepared to work at least one major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years)

Required Qualifications

• Active VA or Compact license
• Two years of recent clinical experience
• Experience with charge responsibilities
• Cerner EHR platform familiarity
• Ability to work in a teaching hospital environment that includes interaction with students and new hires
• Candidates must have limited RTO as client can cancel up to 36 hours prior to each assignment due to census fluctuations
• Travel required

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior charge experience
• Proficiency with Cerner
