Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care - $2,500 per week

GTT Healthcare Staffing Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Intermediate Care position in Utica, New York.

About the role

This is a 13-week travel assignment with a start date of 08/31/2026. The schedule is 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM). Floating is required. Scrub color: Navy Blue.

Unit specifics:

• Common diagnoses: Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory (COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, post-op)
• Specialty equipment: Temp pacer, Chest tubes, A lines, Bipap, Neptune, Vapo Vents (chronic vents—RT to assist)
• Patient demographics: Adults (18 years and older)
• 64 beds in the unit, with 15 designated Neuro beds

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU/PCU) setting
• Manage patients with complex medical conditions, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory diagnoses
• Operate and monitor specialty equipment such as temp pacers, chest tubes, A lines, Bipap, and vents

Requirements

• Up-to-date resume documenting 2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU and travel experience
• Skills checklist matching specialty
• Driver’s license with address matching demographics
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (must be included at time of submission)
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Local candidates (within 75 miles) accepted at local rates
