About the role

Join a collaborative inpatient unit caring for General Medicine and Cardiology patients in a traveler-friendly hospital! This 13-week travel contract offers a 12-hour night shift on a 25-bed unit (transitioning to 16 beds after renovations) with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–6. LPN support is partnered with RNs, and floating to mixed-acuity units may be required based on staffing and census.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for General Medicine and Cardiology patients
• Tracheostomy care
• Chest tube management
• Peripheral IV starts
• Blood administration
• NG tube insertion and feeding
• PEG tube care and feeding
• Manage Heparin and Insulin drips

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of inpatient RN experience
• First-time travelers welcome with 2+ years of inpatient/trauma hospital experience
• BLS and NIHSS certification required

• 25-bed unit (transitioning to 16 beds after renovations)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4–6

• IV Pumps: Plum ICU Medical
• Medication System: Omnicell
• Monitors: Philips
• Additional Systems: TeleTracking & STAR
• No on-call requirement
• Weekend rotation as needed
