Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care - $2,435 per week

Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in Reno, Nevada. This position involves providing comprehensive patient care within a fast-paced, trauma-capable environment, focusing on patients experiencing severe medical issues requiring moderately complex assessments, therapies, and interventions. The role requires delivering safe, expert clinical services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients over an entire episode of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
• Deliver safe, expert clinical services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients over an entire episode of care
• Float to the needs of the organization up to competency level as required
• Work major holidays and pick up an additional shift during each 4-week schedule period as needed

Required Qualifications

• Nevada RN license required prior to start
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of IMCU/Stepdown experience
• Experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, arterial lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and tracheostomy management
• Must pass an ECG/Telemetry exam, including rhythm strip interpretation (failure may result in contract termination)

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical/Neuro ICU experience is preferred

Schedule

• Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends and holidays
• Travelers must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays, with one day from Eve + Day counts as one holiday
• May be required to work major holidays and pick up an additional shift during each 4-week schedule period
