Travel Nurse RN - DOU - Direct Observation Unit - $2,304 per week

About the Role

Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Direct Observation Unit (DOU) in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. This is a 12-week travel nursing opportunity with 36 hours per week on night shifts (12-hour shifts).

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients including those with post-surgical conditions, CVA, sepsis, pneumonia, trauma, MI, pediatrics, and obstetric emergencies
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4
• Work every other weekend rotation and every other holiday as expected
• Utilize Epic EMR for charting
• Manage airway and RSI, cardiac drips, codes, CVA and STEMI cases
• Wear navy blue scrubs

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of experience required
• First-time travelers are not eligible
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
• Required skills: Airway management and RSI knowledge, cardiac drips, codes, CVA and STEMI management

• 60-bed Level 4 Trauma and stroke-ready facility
• Features 17 exam rooms and a 4-bed observation unit
• Support services include ED techs, LPN coverage, VAT team during the day, ultrasound-guided IV-trained RNs, respiratory therapy, 24/7 hospitalist coverage, and occupational, physical, and speech therapy services
• Charting system: Epic EMR
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Medication dispensing: Pyxis

• Orientation includes NEO and two 12-hour shifts on the unit
