Travel Medical-Surgical RN - $2,195 per week

About the role

Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) position in Kearney, Nebraska. The role involves working in a 22-bed acute care unit with an average daily census of 6 patients, providing care for patients undergoing procedures such as total knee replacements, total hip replacements, ankle replacements, shoulder surgeries, and spine procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care related to orthopedic surgeries
• Operate tele monitoring equipment (tele boxes), read and interpret strips
• Work collaboratively with charge nurses and patient care techs
• Float rotation may be required to MedSurg, rehabilitation, or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) taking MedSurg acuity

Schedule

• Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Self-scheduling with cyclic rotation
• Every other weekend shift
• Rotating holiday schedule
• RTO requests need to be made upfront for up to 7 days within each 13-week contract
• Assignment begins on 08/17/2026 and lasts 13 weeks

Requirements

• BLS Certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Valid license to practice in Nebraska

• Familiarity with EPIC charting system

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
