Travel Med Surg/Telemetry RN

About the role

Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, monitoring cardiac telemetry, administering medications, documenting care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans. Ensure patient safety, follow infection control protocols, and facilitate discharge planning. Manage multiple patients efficiently and advocate for patient needs while maintaining professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients and families
• Administer treatments and medications
• Conduct assessments and document patient information
• Assist with diagnostic procedures and monitor responses
• Maintain a safe environment and ensure infection control
• Collaborate with care teams and coordinate discharge plans
• Perform additional duties within scope of practice

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum one year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience
• Valid RN license per state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
• Strong clinical, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and PC skills
• Ability to work under pressure, handle irregular activity, and maintain concentration
• Visual acuity and effective communication skills
