About the role
A skilled Med Surg/Tele RN to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units.
Responsibilities
- Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and assist physicians
- Maintain a safe environment and adhere to infection control protocols
- Manage multiple patients, prioritize clinical needs, and advocate for patient preferences
- Monitor cardiac telemetry
- Administer medications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Facilitate discharge planning and ensure regulatory compliance
Requirements
- One year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience
- Valid RN license per state regulations
- Current BLS certification; NIHSS and ACLS preferred
- Strong clinical, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform necessary movements and technical proficiency
- Ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail and confidentiality
