Travel Med Surg/Telemetry RN

About the Role

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units. Assess patient conditions, monitor cardiac telemetry data, administer medications, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Explain procedures, prepare patients for diagnostics, and ensure a safe environment. Maintain accurate documentation, advocate for patients, and facilitate discharge planning. Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards. Manage multiple patients efficiently based on acuity and clinical needs.

Responsibilities

• Explain treatments and procedures to patients and families
• Monitor patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans as needed
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Support patient safety and discharge processes
• Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and adherence to protocols

Requirements

• At least one year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience
• Valid RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS and ACLS
• Critical thinking and strong communication skills
• Technical proficiency in telemetry monitoring and medical equipment
• Physical stamina for patient care activities
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively under pressure
• Visual acuity and sensory communication skills
